Jason Moser: YOUR Centre County Controller
Jason has a responsibility to the taxpayers of Centre County and hundreds of employees to ensure your County government is working as efficiently as possible. He continues to promote accountability and transparency in the Controller’s office and Centre County Government. Through modernization of computer systems, processes, and fiscal policies, Jason has worked to streamline reporting and make public information more accessible to Centre County taxpayers. He ensures that controls are in place to protect County assets and that all stakeholders are adhering to legal and contractual obligations. He believes firmly that the public should have information at its fingertips to see that County operations are being performed efficiently and with good business practice.
Additionally, he works diligently to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. In three years in office, he has protected hundreds of thousands of dollars from attempted fraud at the County.
As Controller, Jason is the Fiscal Manager and Internal Auditor of Centre County government; a member of the Salary Board; Secretary for the County Retirement Board; manager of Centre County employees’ retirement benefits; member of the Finance Committee; and a member of the Prison Board.
